A great praise is warranted for all of our Team White Tiger participants at the US Open Martial Arts Competition this past July 6th and 7th, 2007. We are proud of each member of Team White Tiger for challenging themselves at this international tournament held in Orlando, Florida. Many trophies and medals were taken home due to the dedicated effort of our team. A notable 1st place win, by Ryan Trainor who surprised some competitors instructors with his smaller than average build in his division for breaking at this international competition as an 11 year old. As Ryan was presenting himself to the judges, several instructors make audible mention of Ryan's build being a deficit that would certainly place him last in the division. But Ryan's strong poise in front of the judges was only solidified as Ryan did Creative Open Breaking with precise technique at tremendous speed breaking adult thick board material when most of his competitors used half the thickness if even that. And Ryan also include a more difficult roof tile brick in his presentation. All combined to earn Ryan an undisputable first place win. We here at White Tiger Martial Arts also want to announce a special thanks to the parents of Team White Tiger participants. The support of parents, relatives and friends was impressive at the US Open and without their ongoing support, our members experience of this great challenging lifetime experience would not have been the same.
