World Communion Sunday at Palms West Presbyterian Church

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 2, 2006. For more information: Call (561) 795-6292 On Sunday, October 1st Palms West Presbyterian Church celebrated World Communion Sunday. In keeping with the seventy-year-old tradition which originated in the Presbyterian Church, this special Sunday marked Oneness in Christ in the midst of the world that is continually in need of peacemaking. At the request of the General Assembly the congregation received a special offering to support initiatives on peacemaking and peacemaking education throughout the church. Members united by wearing native costumes depicting their ethnic heritage. The services were followed by fellowship and sharing native foods of each culture. Palms West Presbyterian Church is located at 13689 Okeechobee Blvd. between E and F Roads in Loxahatchee.
